These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Aldero, operated by Aldero (“Aldero”, “we”, “us”). By accessing or using a service powered by Aldero, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Aldero is a backend platform providing authentication, billing, notifications, and status page infrastructure to businesses (“tenants”) who integrate Aldero into their applications. End users interact with Aldero through the tenant applications they sign up for.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction, to use the service. By using the service you represent that you meet this requirement.
3. Accounts
- You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for any activity under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep it updated.
- You may not impersonate another person or use another person’s account without authorization.
4. SMS Multi-Factor Authentication and Consent
By providing your mobile phone number and enrolling in SMS-based multi-factor authentication, you give your express written consent to receive automated text messages from Aldero (including messages sent via an automatic telephone dialing system) at the phone number provided. Messages will contain one-time verification codes and security notifications related to your account. Your consent is not required as a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
SMS program details:
- Program name: Aldero account verification and security.
- Message frequency: varies based on your activity, typically a few messages per month.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP at any time to cancel. You will receive a confirmation message and no further messages will be sent.
- Reply HELP for help, or email support@aldero.io.
- You may also disable SMS authentication at any time from your account security settings.
Carrier and delivery disclaimer: Carriers (including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Sprint, Boost, and others) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Aldero is not responsible for delivery failures caused by carrier filtering, signal availability, or any other issue outside our reasonable control.
Mobile information: No mobile information, including your phone number, SMS opt-in status, SMS consent record, or message content, will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell, rent, or otherwise transfer your mobile phone number or SMS consent data to any third party for any purpose other than delivering the SMS service you have requested. 5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for unlawful purposes, or to harass, abuse, or harm others.
- Attempt to interfere with, disable, or compromise the security of the service.
- Use the service to send unsolicited messages, spam, or content that violates carrier policies.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the service except as permitted by applicable law.
6. Tenant Applications
Aldero powers authentication and other infrastructure for third-party tenant applications. Your use of any tenant application is governed by that tenant’s own terms and privacy policy, in addition to these Terms.
7. Service Availability
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time without prior notice.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including without limitation the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aldero shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the service.
10. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose risk to other users or the service.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
